Insomnia
Insomnia is a consistent inability or difficulty in falling or staying asleep. Insomnia can be caused by many factors, including stress, hormone changes, some mental disorders, and nightmares. Insomnia can be treated with medications, although many sleep medications cause dependency (when one stops taking the medications insomnia returns). Some antihistamines (such as Benadryl) can help treat insomnia, and often do not produce as much dependency. If you are experiencing insomnia, talk to your doctor before beginning any medications.
